Around 8 pm, an older man came in, intoxicated. Though not disruptive like some people can be, he was struggling to find money for whatever he was trying to do. The young man I mentioned earlier noticed this and stayed by his side, maintaining a calm and patient demeanor. He talked to the man, worked with him, and tried to understand what he needed. At one point, the man accidentally flung his phone from the slot machine by ATM wall, and it flew towards the bar area, turning the situation into a bit of a circus atmosphere just being humorous.
Despite this, the young man remained composed, continuing to assist him. He even tried to help the man get an Uber, though the man didn’t have the app. Eventually, he figured out how to get him a ride, arranging for the Uber to take him to the bank and then home. By 8:25, the man was on his way, and the young worker returned to his duties.
I really want to commend this employee for his compassion, patience, and professionalism. He handled the situation with grace and made sure the man was taken care of, which speaks volumes about his character.
As we left, both of the men working there acknowledged us and wished us a good night. They were pleasant and welcoming from start to finish, making the entire experience even more enjoyable.
They also have a first Thursday open mic night hosted by very talented pro musicians and all are welcomed and treated with kindness and respect.
The owners have often been known to treat those attending the open mic to some great pizza which is yet another added plus over other nearby gaming rooms.
Drinks are reasonably priced and free snacks. I highly recommend and can’t wait to go back,
